About Us
The Permanent Mission of Afghanistan
The Permanent Mission of Afghanistan to the United Nations is the legitimate and accredited diplomatic representation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Since the forced takeover of Afghanistan by the Taliban in August 2021, it has been representing the interests of the people of Afghanistan, especially the voices and demands of the suppressed and vulnerable people in Afghanistan. Our mission is to represent Afghanistan and its people with dignity, honor, and integrity while defending their legitimate rights at the international level. We are committed to promoting and protecting the fundamental human rights of all Afghans, including women, youth, and minorities, and achieving permanent peace, stability, and prosperity in Afghanistan.
